MANGA — A 22-year-old man from Manga, identified as KG, has confessed to the murder of his 21-year-old girlfriend, BZ, in June 2024, in a video confession provided to local authorities. KG named two accomplices, NM, 21, and CS, 23, in the crime, which took place after the group consumed drugs.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the video, lasting 4 minutes and 47 seconds, was filmed by a member of the Koglowéogo self-defense group, which was responsible for KG’s arrest. In the video, KG admitted to slitting the victim’s throat with a machete before beheading her, motivated by a desire to steal 400,000 CFA francs from her mobile money account. The girl’s head was discarded in a well, while her body was left near the Manga slaughterhouse. The authorities had discovered the headless body on June 25, 2024, which led to an investigation now moving toward resolution with these confessions.
