Cassengo: Three members of the same family were burned to death in the early hours of Thursday morning in the municipality of Cassengo (Lunda-Sul) as a result of a fire.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the local spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, Alegria Flay, reported that the fire also resulted in first- and second-degree burns to three citizens, who were subsequently taken to health facilities for treatment. The victims of the tragic incident included a 34-year-old mother and her two children, aged one and three, who resided in the Sambuquila neighborhood.
The spokesperson indicated that the fire may have been caused by negligence involving a lit candle inside the residence.
