Mogt©do: The first ordinary session of the year 2026 of the special delegation of the municipality of Mogt©do, devoted among other things to the municipal urban planning plan, was held from March 30 to April 1, 2026, under the chairmanship of Nomwend© Abdoulaye Kanazo©.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the discussions highlighted the importance of equipping the municipality of Mogt©do with an urban planning tool adapted to its growth dynamics. This process, undertaken with the technical support of the Directorate General of Urban Planning and the backing of the technical and financial partner ENABEL, aims to better organize land use, anticipate infrastructure needs, and improve the living conditions of the population.

The detailed urban development plan should ultimately allow for better structuring of the city by defining residential areas, spaces reserved for public facilities, as well as roads and various utility networks. It will also contribute to strengthening local governance in land-use planning and preventing unauthorized development.

The work also focused on the review and adoption of the 2025 management account and the 2025 administrative account, as well as on discussions regarding the involvement of members of the special delegation in the mobilization of municipal revenues.

Furthermore, the participants examined and adopted the first amending budget for the year 2026, before proceeding to deliberate and examine miscellaneous items.

For the record, this session was held in accordance with the provisions of articles 203, 204, and 205 of law no. 024-2025/ALT of December 30, 2025, concerning the General Code of Territorial Authorities. It provided a framework for consultation and decision-making for the operation and development of the municipality of Mogt©do.
