Zogore: The school garden of the TEonsgo public primary school in the basic education district (CEB) of Zogore is a tangible proof of commitment which satisfies the school administration and the learners, AIB has observed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, under the guidance of the school administration and the school council, the institution has developed an agricultural area of approximately 800 square meters, meeting the expectations of the educational authorities. This initiative is part of the national movement to promote and develop locally sourced food in school gardens.
On the high ground, school council members and teachers have been working since the start of the school year to cultivate and maintain mainly green onions, tomatoes, and watermelons, and the harvests are used to supply the school canteen. "Despite the difficulties and the scarcity of resources, the educational community of the TEonsgo public primary school is resolutely committed to the sustainability of innovations in the school environment," affirmed the school's principal, Issouf Belem.
