The President of the Special Delegation Presents His Report to the Population

Ouagadougou: The president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Koti, in the province of Tuy, Lassinan Dierma, met with his population on Saturday, June 21, 2025 to report on his management from 2022 to 2024. The president of the special municipal delegation, Lassinan Dierma, presented the achievements of his team during the three years (2022 to 2024) during the accountability day.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Dierma provided an update on his management, including revenue collected, projects completed, and challenges encountered. Achievements include the construction of a maternity ward, a dispensary, and a warehouse for generic essential medicines (GEM).

In addition, there is the construction of boreholes in Kayao, Fafo, Koti and the CSPS of Bonzan-Pougouli, the rehabilitation of the CSPS of Poa, the completion of the maternity hospital in Indini, and the construction of classrooms at the departmental high school of Koti.

Other actions included the construction of a storage warehouse, road signs, and solar streetlights at the Koti bus station. These achievements were made possible thanks to the municipality's own resources, transfers from the State, and support from partners, as well as the use of the Local Development Mining Fund (FMDL).

The PDS also mentioned the difficulties in implementing activities, including insufficient staff, tax incivility, delays in project execution, and unsuccessful contracts. The population, who came from the 11 villages of the commune, welcomed the efforts of the special delegation.

Viviane Malo, a housewife, appreciated the clarity of the explanations and pledged to raise awareness among residents about paying taxes. Issa Diallo, a representative of the Muslim community, said he was reassured by the information provided on the use of resources.

The population took advantage of this meeting to raise concerns. These include the rehabilitation of the Koti-Kayao road, the creation of water reservoirs to support economic activities, and the installation of a security post in the commune.
