Zondoma: The Ouahigouya High Court (TGI) opened a mobile court hearing, held from April 23 to 25, 2025, in Gourcy. Eighteen cases were on the docket, including numerous cases of witchcraft allegations.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the public prosecutor of Faso at the High Court (TGI) of Ouahigouya, Aly Benjamin Coulibaly, stated that the hearing is part of the government's judicial policy to bring justice closer to litigants. This initiative aims to demystify the judicial institution and educate the public on their rights, responsibilities, and the functioning of the justice system, particularly concerning cultural practices now considered offenses.

The opening ceremony of the mobile court hearings occurred in the presence of the High Commissioner of the province of Zondoma, Aboubacar Sidiki Nab©, along with directors, heads of service, and customary and religious leaders of Zondoma.

During the hearings, presided over by Mahamed Di©lo, the court focused on explaining aspects of criminal proceedings and the appropriate responses to certain situations. The prosecution emphasized the seriousness of witchcraft accusations, highlighting the increase in allegations due to the proliferation of healers.

Attendees like Aguera Koma and Namb© Saidou Sawadogo expressed appreciation for the court's transparency and accessibility. The hearings concluded on Friday, April 25, 2025, supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
