The new headquarters of the World Bank aims to strengthen its effectiveness in Burkina, (resp)

The World Bank hopes to strengthen its effectiveness in monitoring dialogue with its partners, thanks to its new offices inaugurated yesterday Monday in Ouagadougou, the AIB has learned.

“We hope to strengthen our effectiveness in monitoring our dialogue with all stakeholders in development in all its components, i.e. the government, technical and financial partners, the private sector, civil society organizations “, declared Monday the representative-resident of the World Bank in Burkina Faso, Maïmouna Mbow Fam.

Ms. Fam was speaking at the inauguration of the new headquarters of her institution in Ouagadougou, alongside Prime Minister Me Apollinaire Kyelem.

“This decentralization will have the advantage for the management units of the projects and programs that we finance to have an interlocutor on the spot to whom to speak directly to meet the expectations of the populations”, added Maïmouna Mbow Fam.

On December 7, 2012, the Burkinabè government granted a plot with an area of 5500m2 in the administrative zone in Ouaga2000, a residential district in the south of the Burkinabè capital.

The new headquarters inaugurated on the occasion of 60 years of partnership between Burkina Faso and the World Bank, is an R+2 building built on an area of 2,180m2 and able to accommodate 80 workers.
