The N©dialpoun ‘A’ School Garden Initiative Enhances School Meals With Association’s Support

R©o: The N©dialpoun 'A' public primary school, located in the Basic Education District (CEB) of R©o, began harvesting the first products from its school garden on Monday, January 19, thanks to the support of its partner, the 'EDUCATION PLUS' association. Supported by the "EDUCATION PLUS" association, this initiative aims to enrich students' meals while instilling in them the values of working the land in N©dialpoun "A". The students, proud of the fruits of their labor, harvested the first ripe vegetables from their educational garden.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this agricultural success is the result of crucial technical support: the donation of an automatic pump and a water tower by the partner "EDUCATION PLUS". Thanks to this modern irrigation system, the garden's watering is now regular and sustainable. The maintenance of the green space is organized in an educational way, with watering carried out by class groups.

This organization allows children to take ownership of the project while learning the basics of agriculture. The produce is exclusively for the school cafeteria. By incorporating these fresh vegetables into daily meals, the school significantly improves the nutritional quality of the students' diet. Beyond the nutritional aspect, this initiative aligns with the vision of the country's highest authorities, which aims to promote agricultural professions and a love of nature from a young age.

The head of the R©o CEB (Basic Education Center), Mr. Gilbi© Bationo, expressed his deep satisfaction with these concrete results achieved by the students themselves. He commended the "EDUCATION PLUS" initiative, which, through this investment, contributes to building a healthy and agriculturally aware generation.
