Meguet: The High Commissioner paid a courtesy visit to Mariam Segda, recently named a Living Human Treasure of Koulp©logo province. Her husband, Hamidou Gnana, expressed his pride and unwavering support for his wife's prestigious recognition.
According to Burkina Information Agency, at the conclusion of the ceremony, the High Commissioner congratulated Mariam Segda for her inclusion among the 21 Living Human Treasures of Burkina Faso. He highlighted the pride that the Nakamb© region feels, with two Living Human Treasures, including one from Koulp©logo province. He encouraged Segda to pass on her valuable expertise to the younger generations to ensure the continued promotion of Yaana culture.
In a gesture of support, Saidou Ou©draogo presented the esteemed singer with an envelope containing 50,000 CFA francs.
Before departing Yargatenga, the delegation took the opportunity to visit the construction site of a bridge on the Yoyo 1 road. This infrastructure project is being developed by Wend Panga Group Int. SARL, with significant contributions from the local community.
