The exploration company “Avion Gold”, a subsidiary of the Endeavor Mining group, presented through the President of the special delegation of the municipality, Souleymane Dianda, on Friday August 18, 2023 a brand new ambulance in the health district of Houndé.
The health district of Houndé received a new ambulance on Friday August 18, 2023 in the presence of customary, religious, youth and women representatives.
This donation estimated at 40 million 900 thousand FCFA is the work of the exploration company “Avion Gold” subsidiary of the Endeavor mining group operating in the commune of Houndé.
This ambulance brings to two the number of ambulances currently in service at the Medical Center with surgical antenna of Houndé (CMA).
According to Patrick Bondé, head of social performance at Endeavor mining exploration, this donation is part of the mine’s commitments to support communities for their well-being.
He indicated that he is following a request from the communities made by the FAMU coalition, which is an association of several civil society organizations.
For the hospital manager, Lassina Bamboré representing the chief medical officer of the district, this ambulance comes at the right time because the only ambulance available to the CMA is dilapidated.
However, he pleaded for support for the maintenance of the ambulance but also for the management of the evacuation of patients, in particular to the Bobo-Dioulasso hospital center.
The PDS of Houndé, Souleymane Dianda thanked the donor for this gesture which, according to him, is a good example of collaboration.
