The Commune of Manni Empowers Young Women with Soap-Making Kits

Gnagna: The commune of Manni offers soap-making kits to 15 young women: The Special Delegation of the municipality of Manni handed over fifteen complete soap-making kits to fifteen young women on Monday, as part of its policy to promote female entrepreneurship and combat youth unemployment.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the handover ceremony was presided over by the second vice-president of the Special Delegation, Dabourgou Gouditiediba. He urged the beneficiaries to transform this endowment into a real source of income. He encouraged them to form associations, produce quality soap, and make it available to the population, thereby creating jobs and ensuring the sustainability of the initiative.

This action aligns with the development dynamic initiated by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, who prioritizes youth employability and the promotion of productive initiatives. Beyond the fifteen beneficiaries, the municipality aims to create a dynamic capable of offering prospects to future generations and establishing a network of women entrepreneurs in soap making in Manni.

The kits provided contain professional equipment for immediate business start-up. They include 30-liter pots, mixers, precision scales, digital thermometers, plastic and iron molds, cutting tables, and personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, boots, smocks, and masks, ensuring production meets quality and safety standards.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mano Tissa Albertine welcomed the initiative, viewing it as a significant means for the economic empowerment of women. She committed, along with her peers, to produce soap in quantity and quality, sharing acquired skills with other women in the community to expand self-employment opportunities.

With this investment of approximately 4 million FCFA, the Special Delegation of Manni reaffirms its commitment to making women's empowerment a driver of local development, focusing on training, entrepreneurship, and the creation of income-generating activities.
