The CNAVC Organizes Flag-Raising Ceremony to Promote Patriotism Among Students

Houet: The CNAVC raises students' awareness of patriotism and citizenship: On Monday, January 19, 2026, the National Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CNAVC) organized a flag-raising ceremony at the Ouezzin Coulibaly High School in Bobo-Dioulasso. This activity is part of a broader campaign to raise awareness among students about the values of patriotism and citizenship in the educational environment.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was attended by Omar Traor©, the representative of the Presidency of Burkina Faso to the Guiriko region. He took the opportunity to commend and encourage the commitment of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), emphasizing that "without them, it is difficult to build a strong nation." He also outlined the President of Burkina Faso's vision for the country's development, based on discipline, unity, and civic engagement.

Addressing the students, Omar Traor© urged them to cultivate essential values such as punctuality, diligence, respect, cleanliness, diligence, honesty, and above all, love of country. He emphasized the importance of respecting state symbols, particularly the national anthem and colors, asserting that these qualities would shape them into "the leaders of tomorrow." He concluded by reiterating that the President of Burkina Faso, His Excellency Captain Ibrahim Traor©, truly values the youth.

For his part, the president of the CNAVC Houet branch, Zakaria Sor©, indicated that this initiative aims to support the actions of the Head of State and to instill indigenous values in students through civic awareness. According to him, these activities will continue with pupils and students throughout all areas of the province.

At the end of the discussions, the students, through interactive questions, unanimously responded favorably and pledged to put the advice received into practice, thus marking their adherence to the ideals of patriotism and civic duty.
