The Child Protection Network of Ziro Urges Community Vigilance in Mid-Term Report

Ziro: The Child Protection Network (RPE) of Ziro province held its first statutory general assembly of the first half of 2025 on Tuesday in Sapouy, during which members took stock of progress and strengthened their commitment to the persistent challenges of child protection.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the proceedings of this general assembly were opened by the coordinator of the provincial network, Adams Davou, who praised the continued commitment of all the stakeholders of the RPE Ziro. Following the presentations, it emerged that in the first half of 2025, the RPE’s activities had an overall execution rate of 43.51% for a cost of more than 2 million CFA francs.

Based on this assessment, the members of the Network made proposals for better revitalization of the actions of their structure for the second half of the year. The network took the opportunity to invite people to report any form of violence against children and to become actively involved in raising awareness in communities.

“Child protection is everyone’s business. It is urgent that every citizen become a vigilant and committed player,” said one participant. For the second half of the year, the RPE Ziro intends to expand its awareness-raising activities to other sections of society, in order to strengthen prevention and popularize existing protection mechanisms.
