The Catholic Community of Toma Celebrates Easter with Fervor and Hope for Peace

Nayala: The Catholic community of the Sacred Heart parish of Toma celebrated Easter on Sunday, April 5, commemorating the resurrection of Christ, during a mass presided over by Father No«l Souli, in the presence of provincial authorities and many faithful.

According to Burkina Information Agency, in his homily, Father No«l Souli reminded the congregation that the resurrection of Christ is a message of hope and of the victory of life over death. He invited the faithful to translate their faith into concrete actions through love, forgiveness, solidarity, and the promotion of peace in their families and in society.

The ceremony was marked by the baptism of 57 children. Parents, godparents, and sponsors were invited to accompany these newly baptized children in their Christian education and spiritual growth.

Prayers were also offered for peace in Burkina Faso and for the protection of the defense and security forces, as well as the volunteers engaged in the defense of the homeland.

At the end of the mass, the High Commissioner of the province of Nayala, Honor© Fr©d©ric Par©, addressed his wishes for peace, health, and prosperity to the faithful, inviting the people to strengthen unity, social cohesion, and solidarity for the return of peace.

The celebration ended in an atmosphere of Easter joy, punctuated by blessings and messages of peace for the entire community.
