Tuy: The agricultural Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the commune of Founzan sowed peanuts, beans, and corn on nearly two hectares on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Kouloho production site, thus contributing to food sovereignty. Through this activity, the agricultural VDP reaffirm their commitment to supporting national production efforts undertaken under the impetus of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the team leader of the agricultural volunteers in Founzan, Gnikienvo Yaro, stated that each seed planted represents "an act of patriotism and another step towards food sovereignty" for Burkina Faso. He added that the agricultural volunteers remain determined to work with "courage, discipline, and commitment" to contribute to the country's development.
'Our fight is also being waged in the fields. Together, we will produce food to feed the nation,' he declared. According to him, this mobilization demonstrates that defending the homeland also involves working the land and increasing agricultural production.
