Tehran: The thatched-cap termite mounds of Timperba, a tourist site that attracts many visitors. The commune of Niangoloko, in the Como© province, Tannounyan region, is full of numerous tourist sites little known to the general public but very attractive, natural and authentic. Among them, the "thatched-cap termite mounds of Timperba" attract many visitors.
According to Burkina Information Agency, located 28 km from Niangoloko, via Yend©r©, these termite mounds are impressive and cover nearly 30 hectares. The sight is striking, and a legend explains their presence in this precise location, which helps attract many visitors.
These same testimonies add that "if an animal pursued by a hunter enters it, it can no longer be killed, regardless of the hunter's power. It is a site that protects the village of Timperba and its inhabitants."
This place, which represents a symbol for all the daughters and sons of the village, is now threatened by the proximity of cultivated fields.
This tourist site should be demarcated by markers and protected by a safety zone around the crops. It also requires appropriate development and enhanced protection.
