Thanksgiving Mass Marks Conclusion of Reunion Days for Former Seminarians

Kourittenga: The Alumni Association of the Saint Augustine Minor Seminary of Baskour© (AASB) concluded its third edition of reunion days with a thanksgiving mass held in the seminary chapel. This Eucharistic celebration was led by Father Fran§ois de Salle Kabor©.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was organized under the themes of fraternity, recognition, and commitment, bringing together former seminarians from various parts of Burkina Faso. These individuals gathered to celebrate their shared faith and the enduring values instilled during their time at the seminary.

During the celebration, prominent figures and association members were awarded certificates of recognition for their contributions to the association's growth. Messages of encouragement and calls to uphold Christian values were emphasized, urging attendees to maintain the principles they learned at the seminary.

Father Fran§ois de Salle Kabor© highlighted the importance of unity and service, encouraging members to sustain the brotherhood fostered during their formative years. He emphasized that true strength lies in serving the Church, families, and the nation.

Denis Dawend©, chairman of the organizing committee, reflected on the seminary's teachings of unity and community service, emphasizing that personal success is meaningful only when it benefits the community. He urged the newly elected officers to lead with dedication and transparency to ensure the association's future success.

Ange Lankoand©, from the class of 1986, shared his emotional experience of reconnecting with former classmates and receiving a certificate of recognition. He praised the initiative for strengthening ties between generations of former seminarians.

The reunion days, filled with discussions and shared experiences, concluded on a positive note, with participants pledging to continue fostering the association's core values of solidarity and fraternity, and looking forward to the fourth edition.
