Thanksgiving Mass Honors Abbots Servace and Celebrates Pastoral Commitment


Koosin: The parish of Our Lady of the Rosary of Bomborokuy celebrated, this Saturday, December 27, 2025, a Mass of Thanksgiving dedicated to the Abbots Servace, during a solemn Eucharistic celebration which brought together many faithful, religious men and women.



According to Burkina Information Agency, this Mass was organized to give thanks to God for the gift of the priesthood and for the pastoral commitment of the priests who work daily to proclaim the Gospel, administer the sacraments, and provide spiritual guidance to the Christian communities of the parish and surrounding villages.



The day’s liturgy, structured around biblical readings and the homily, highlighted the profound meaning of the priesthood as a ministry of service, availability, and self-giving, in the image of Christ, the Good Shepherd.



The celebrant, Father Bayouwa Servace Traor©, reminded those present that the priest is called to be a spiritual guide, a witness of faith, and a peacemaker within society.



During the Prayer of the Faithful, intentions were offered for the Church, for the Servace priests, for the faithful, and for peace and social cohesion.



The offertory was marked by the presentation of symbolic gifts, reflecting the recognition and support of the Christian community for the pastoral mission.
