Tenkodogo Tomato Factory Construction Reaches 13% Completion

Tenkodogo: The construction of the tomato processing plant in P©dogo, near Tenkodogo, is currently about 13% complete. This update was shared during a recent site visit by Adaman Kambon©, the mission officer of the Presidency of Faso for the Nakamb© region, who was accompanied by notables and the head of the APEC program.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the project, which began in April, is expected to be fully completed by April 2026. The construction site was described as bustling with activity, with workers engaged in various tasks such as building walls, transporting materials, and making bricks. The plant is being constructed on a three-hectare site, with facilities including storage warehouses, an administrative block, a canteen, changing rooms, an infirmary, and a maintenance workshop.

Latif Hermann Boukoungou, the site manager, reported that the work is progressing well, supported by a substantial workforce and three high-capacity boreholes for water supply. Adaman Kambon© expressed satisfaction with the progress, emphasizing the importance of completing the infrastructure promptly to make the products available to the public and demonstrate the effective use of contributions from subscribers.

The project is part of the Community Entrepreneurship Program through Popular Shareholding and involves an investment of 7.5 billion CFA francs. Notably, no foundation stone laying ceremony was held for this project, following the President of Faso's directive to focus on expediting the construction process.
