Tenkodogo: The seventh edition opened in Tenkodogo with the inauguration of the shopping mall and a conference on the theme: “Social cohesion and internally displaced persons”, held on Friday, November 22, 2024 in the conference room of the Regional Council. For a week, Tenkodogo will vibrate to the rhythm of quality shows, traditional music and dances of the Bissa, Mossi, Yana, Peulh and Koussassi peoples, board games and sports activities, according to the general commissioner of FESMART, Lucien Zouré.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General of Boulgou Province, Siaka Lalle Yao, representing the governor at the opening, expressed his encouragement and congratulations to the festival promoter and its partners, who worked despite the difficulties to organize this edition. He stressed that an activity focused on social cohesion and support for internally displaced persons deserves the support of state representatives.

The speaker, Norbert Nassouri, technical advisor to the governor of
the region, was able to respond to the concerns of the participants and launched an appeal to all Burkinabe to unite for the successful reconquest of the national territory.

Miss Tanya, artistic patron of this edition, after her performance, praised the unwavering support of her father, a long-time friend of the promoter. She encouraged young people to join the Dévelop Burkina association and to make FESMART a flagship activity in the Centre-East region.
