Tenkodogo: BIR 11 Donates 2.39 Million FCFA Worth of Materials for Faso Mªbo

Tenkodogo: The Rapid Intervention Battalion No. 11 (BIR 11) handed over a donation of 15 tons of cement and 45 tons of granite, worth 2,390,000 FCFA, to Tenkodogo on Thursday to support the work of the presidential initiative Faso Mªbo. The handover, carried out by the commander of BIR 11, Captain Seydou Congo, took place in the presence of the representative to the Presidency of Faso for the Nakamb© region, Adama Kambon©, and the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Tenkodogo, Sami Berenger Poda.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Captain Congo stated that this contribution is the result of a voluntary contribution from members of the battalion. He said it responds to the call from the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, inviting Burkinabe citizens to participate in the construction and beautification of community spaces.

"Alongside our primary mission of reconquering the territory, we intend to take part in local development efforts," stated the commander of BIR 11. He praised the transformations already visible in Tenkodogo, an encouragement he said to continue the initiative, and reaffirmed his unit's readiness to support other similar actions.

Beyond the donation of materials, the members of BIR 11 participated in the work of making and laying paving stones on several sites in the city.

PDS Sami Berenger Poda hailed a "highly symbolic" gesture. "Committed to securing the territory, the members of BIR 11 are also demonstrating their commitment to the development of the commune," he declared, inviting the sons and daughters of Tenkodogo to take greater ownership of Faso Mªbo, each according to their abilities.

He finally conveyed the commune's gratitude to Captain Congo and the entire BIR 11, while encouraging them in the accomplishment of their mission.
