Windhoek: The National Housing Enterprise (NHE) and Telecom Namibia have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a collaboration focused on ICT infrastructure, digital services, and affordable housing.
According to Namibia Press Agency, in a media statement issued on Tuesday, Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Namibia, Stanley Shanapinda, expressed enthusiasm over the partnership with NHE. Shanapinda highlighted that the collaboration aligns with Telecom Namibia's vision of a digitally connected Namibia, aiming to create innovative solutions to address the nation's housing challenges and foster tech-enabled housing.
NHE Chief Executive Officer, Gisbertus Mukulu, also expressed excitement about the partnership in a media statement. Mukulu emphasized that the partnership is pivotal in achieving NHE's goals. He noted the importance of working closely with Telecom Namibia to create smart, connected living spaces that cater to the evolving needs of residents. Mukulu reiterated NHE's commitment to fostering strategic partnerships to enhance their offerings for clients.
The MoU outlines key areas of cooperation, including joint infrastructure development for seamless connectivity within NHE developments, collaborative development of innovative smart city solutions, and exploration of digital service offerings for residents. This partnership merges Telecom Namibia's telecommunications and IT expertise with NHE's experience in housing solutions, marking a significant milestone in Namibia's digital transformation and sustainable development journey.
