Tehran: Tehran denies information on Saudi Arabia’s mediation in negotiations between Iran and the United States, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei told RIA Novosti.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Baqaei commented on reports alleging that Saudi Arabia is acting as a mediator between Iran and the United States. The reports suggested that the mediation efforts were aimed at arranging a meeting between the leaders of the two countries during US President Donald Trump’s upcoming visit to Riyadh.
“All these are just rumors and speculations in the media that do not correspond to reality,” Baqaei stated, dismissing the circulating claims. The spokesman’s remarks underscore Iran’s stance on the matter, indicating that there is no truth to the reports of Saudi involvement in facilitating dialogue between Iran and the US.
