Rundu: In the Kavango East Region, a 41-year-old teacher’s sudden death at Friendly Private School in Rundu has been attributed to a heart attack.

According to Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA), the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Crime Investigation Coordinator in the region, the postmortem report of Sindano Racheal Masela confirmed that her death was due to acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack.

Acute myocardial infarction typically involves chest pain or discomfort and may include symptoms like dyspnea, nausea, and diaphoresis, related to underlying coronary artery disease. Masela reportedly collapsed and died instantly while fetching water from a tap at the school.

Additionally, the NamPol weekend crime report noted the tragic incident of 20-year-old Sara Nerumbu Ndjamba being struck by lightning at Bunya Village. Ndjamba was walking home from a water point with her sister, carrying buckets of water on their heads, when the lightning struck, resulting in her instant death. Her body was taken to Bunya State Mortuary for an autopsy, and her next of kin have been informed.
