Noumbiel: The Secretary General of Noumbiel Province, Sim©on To©, presided over the establishment of the provincial office for people living with disabilities on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Bati©. This event resulted in the election of Tasser© Ou©draogo as president of this twelve-member body.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the establishment of the office was supervised by the Provincial Directorate in charge of family and solidarity of Noumbiel, led by Siaka Andr© Blegn©. During the event, the conditions for application were presented, setting the stage for the election process.
Prior to the formation of the provincial office, focal point offices were set up in the province's five municipalities. Each of the four municipalities with intermediate levels of government had two focal points, while the municipality of Bati©, which holds full government powers, had nine focal points.
The election concluded with the establishment of a twelve-member provincial office. These members were elected by all the focal points from the five municipalities within the province.
Sim©on To©, the Secretary General, expressed his appreciation for the preparatory work and offered guidance to the newly elected members of the office, wishing them success in their mission.
