Tapoa Baccalaureate Exams Begin with 226 Candidates at Diapaga and Kantchari Centers

Tapoa: The written exams for the 2026 baccalaureate officially began this Tuesday, June 23, in the Tapoa province. Presided over by the provincial secretary general, Martin Zoundi, the launch ceremony was held simultaneously in Diapaga and Kantchari.

According to Burkina Information Agency, there are a total of 226 candidates, including 104 girls and 122 boys, divided between the Diapaga and Kantchari centers. The Diapaga center is hosting 159 candidates, including 74 girls and 85 boys, while the Kantchari center has 67 candidates, including 30 girls and 37 boys. Both centers cover the A and D series.

Boureima Ou©draogo, head of the Diapaga center, assured that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the exams proceed smoothly. The delivery of exam papers, the power supply, and first aid are guaranteed.

It is 7:30 a.m. when the provincial secretary general, Martin Zoundi, enters the Untaani high school in Diapaga. After the usual pleasantries, he offers advice to the candidates. 'Despite the difficult security situation in Tapoa province, we chose school. These 226 candidates are acts of resistance,' said Mr. Zoundi.

He then urged the supervisors to be rigorous and the candidates to remain focused. "Tapoa is counting on you to honor the province. Let merit speak for itself," concluded the Secretary General.

The results of the first round are expected on July 2, 2026. The second round, which will begin on July 6, will conclude on July 9. The polling stations in Burkina Faso are scheduled to close on July 10.
