Tanghin-dassouri: The town hall provides the medical center with a modern laboratory worth 125 million CFA francs. The president of the special municipal delegation of Tanghin-Dassouri, under the leadership of Mrs. Rabiata Sawadogo, provided the Medical Center on Monday, November 17, 2025, with a modern laboratory entirely built and equipped by the town hall at a cost of 125 million CFA francs.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the newly erected building at the main entrance of the Tanghin-Dassouri Medical Centre was financed with more than 125 million CFA francs. This investment includes both the infrastructure and a comprehensive technical platform. The facility is equipped with essential biomedical equipment such as a refrigerator for reagents, a distiller, an automated biochemistry analyzer, and microscopes, which are generally absent in peripheral centers.
With this new laboratory, residents of Tanghin-Dassouri can now access critical tests such as blood glucose, kidney function tests, cardiac examinations, and hepatitis tests locally, thereby reducing the need to travel to Ouagadougou. Nazindi Kabre, the head of the laboratory, expressed satisfaction with the donation, noting that it will greatly benefit patients and enhance working conditions for the staff.
Ms. Rabiata Sawadogo, president of the special municipal delegation, emphasized that this development is part of the municipality’s “moral and humanistic duty” to provide quality healthcare to its residents. In a continued effort to improve the Medical Centre, the Tanghin-Dassouri town hall had previously installed solar streetlights last February to enhance nighttime visibility and working conditions for health workers.
