Tanghin-dassouri: The special municipal delegation of Tanghin-Dassouri has, for several weeks, undertaken major urban road construction work, with a view to improving mobility, decongesting neighborhoods, and strengthening the security of the population, AIB has observed. These works concern several roads that have remained undeveloped since the subdivision operations and have now become essential to facilitate travel within the main town of the municipality. From National Route No. 1 (RN1) to the heart of residential areas, heavy machinery, including bulldozers, can be seen on the ground.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the special delegation (PDS) of Tanghin-Dassouri, Rabiata Sawadogo, stated that this initiative responds to a strong and long-standing expectation of the people. "These roads had been planned for a long time but had not yet been built. We decided to take action in order to relieve the population and sustainably improve their living environment," she said.
Ms. Sawadogo explained that this work is part of the local development vision promoted by the special municipal delegation. "Opening up our neighborhoods means facilitating access to basic social services, improving traffic flow, and strengthening security, particularly the mobility of defense and security forces," she explained. For the head of the municipality, the construction of these road infrastructures also represents an important lever for local economic development. "Good roads promote economic activity, facilitate trade, and contribute to the attractiveness of our community," she stressed.
Local communities, who have long faced traffic difficulties, particularly during the rainy season, welcome this action, which they consider an important step towards improving their living conditions.
