Bobo-dioulasso: Talent FC wins 300,000 CFA francs at the CNAVC Super Cup after their 2-0 victory. Launched on January 25, 2026, the grand final of the Super Cup of the National Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CNAVC), Houet section, was played on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Bobo-Dioulasso. According to Burkina Information Agency, this sporting competition aimed to promote social cohesion and living together through football, by mobilizing young people around the ideals of peace, solidarity, and civic responsibility. Thirty-two teams started the match, with Talent FC in red and Team FDR in blue battling it out in the final. At the end of regulation time, Talent FC emerged victorious with a score of two goals to zero, thus claiming the trophy for this inaugural CNAVC Houet Super Cup. Beyond the sporting aspect, the CNAVC Super Cup, themed "Sport in the Service of Cohesion, Patriotism, and Peace," aims to be a platform for expressing and disseminating the ideals of the progressive popular revolu tion underway in Burkina Faso. "We are very pleased to have organized this competition. The message has been received by young people. We thank all those who supported us," declared El Hadj Zakaria Sore, president of the CNAVC Houet branch. Present at the ceremony, the event's director, Commander Karim Souabou, praised the success of this first edition and congratulated the organizers on their initiative. Several administrative and military authorities, including the commander of the Second Military Region, Lieutenant-Colonel Lassane Porgo, as well as figures from the private sector and a large crowd from Bobo-Dioulasso, also graced the final with their presence. Talent FC, the winner of the tournament, took home prizes, a ball, a set of jerseys, 300,000 CFA francs, and the trophy. Team FDR, the runner-up, received the same prizes and sports kits, along with 200,000 CFA francs. The organizing committee also presented certificates of appreciation to the various partners and individuals for their support of t his inaugural event. Through this Super Cup, the CNAVC Houet intends to establish sport permanently as a powerful lever for bringing communities together, raising civic awareness, and consolidating social peace in the province of Houet.
