Western Cape Economic Development and Tourism hosts Entrepreneurship Recognition Awards, 25 Nov
Join our virtual celebration of the Western Cape’s entrepreneurial talent on 25 November 2021
The Western Cape Entrepreneurship Recognition Awards (WCERA) recognises the achievements and potential of the most inspiring entrepreneurs in the Western Cape. Now in its ninth year, the event celebrates the hard work of our entrepreneurs and their contributions to job creation and economic growth in the Western Cape.
The public is invited to join in on celebrating the journey of these businesses at our WCERA virtual event.
WCERA seeks to create an enabling environment for SMMEs through:
Public acknowledgement for business-owners and linking them with requisite business support provided through sponsorships
Showcasing entrepreneurial resilience
Bestowing personal recognition to inspirational businesses
Stimulating an entrepreneurial culture
A total of R300,000 in prize money (amongst other prizes) will be awarded to the entrepreneurs competing across various WCERA categories, including:
Emerging business
Women-owned business
Innovative business
Township business
Social enterprise business
Youth-owned business
This year the following 12 businesses are competing in the various categories as well as for the title of “Entrepreneur of the Year 2021”: Best Training, DelMed Logistics, H18 Foundation, Arion Power, Eyasekuhlaleni Gas, FutureMe Holdings, Hypernova, Jacobs Jam Company, Our Poultry Place, Skywalk Innovations, Unyazi Designs and Home Boa.
