Luanda: TAAG Angola Airlines and the Methodist University of Angola have signed an institutional cooperation protocol as part of the "Takeoff with TAAG" Internship Program. This initiative aims to enhance practical training and facilitate the integration of young Angolan talents into the job market.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the agreement was formalized by Neide Teixeira, Administrator of the Legal and Human Capital Department of TAAG, and Tiago Mutombo, Rector of the Methodist University of Angola. The partnership underscores the commitment of both institutions to fostering the development of national human capital.
In its second edition, the Takeoff with TAAG program plans to offer 65 internship positions to students from the Methodist University of Angola, while an additional 15 spots will be available to international institutions, bringing the total to 80. This initiative is a testament to TAAG's dedication to training qualified personnel and bridging the gap between business and academia.
Students from the Methodist University of Angola will have the opportunity to participate in both curricular and professional internships. These positions are available for final-year students and recent graduates across fields such as computer engineering, economics, mechatronics engineering, industrial engineering and electrical systems, law, business management and administration, Portuguese language, and communication.
The program is designed to provide participants with hands-on professional experience in a corporate environment, equipping them with essential technical and behavioral skills needed in the job market. Additionally, it offers a comprehensive understanding of the operations of a leading airline.
Through this initiative, TAAG continues to invest in the future by empowering young talent, strengthening the educational ecosystem, and promoting careers in aviation.
