Systeres Launches ISO 9001:2015 Certification Process for DGSI

Ouagadougou: The Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Vieux Abdoul Rachid Soulama, has initiated the certification process to the ISO 9001:2015 standard for the General Directorate of Information Systems (DGSI).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the DGSI aims to enhance its services for the Ministry of Economy and Finance and its users by adopting an organizational framework that aligns with international standards. The process is supported by the Burkinabe Association for Quality Management to ensure successful certification.

By opting for ISO 9001:2015, the DGSI seeks to align its operations with international quality practices. This includes implementing a process-based approach for efficient management and enhancing customer focus to meet stakeholder requirements. The standard also addresses risk management, aiming to anticipate challenges associated with digital transformation and information systems management. The approach also encourages team involvement and skill development, fostering a culture of excellence and sustainable performance.

To meet these aims, the DGSI will review its processes to understand activity interactions. An internal quality audit and management review will follow to ensure compliance with the standard's requirements. A mock audit will be conducted before the certification audit to guarantee continuous performance improvement. Additionally, staff will undergo training to fully adopt the principles of the Quality Management System (QMS).
