Barga: SYNATEB equips its members on the rights and duties of civil servants. The Barga sub-section of the National Union of Basic Education Workers (SYNATEB) invited its members on Thursday, May 7, for a day of reflection, AIB observed on site.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the gathering was themed "Rights and duties of the civil servant: the case of the unionized teacher." The unionized members of the sub-section engaged in discussions focusing on their rights and responsibilities as unionized teachers during their union day.
Mahamadi Ouedraogo, the sub-section's secretary general, explained that this training day is part of their continuous efforts to enhance the professional development of SYNATEB activists in Yatenga. The aim is to improve their performance within educational institutions. He emphasized the commitment of union members to act as role models in their departments, addressing their rights and responsibilities within the framework of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP).
During his presentation, Mamadi Bagayan, the regional coordinator of SYNATEB Yaadga, highlighted the importance of resilience in the current national context. He stressed that activists must defend the homeland and serve it loyally, as required by law 081. Bagayan pointed out that a good activist should fulfill their duties before claiming their rights, which is essential for becoming agents of development and social cohesion.
Union activists, including Abdoulaye Savadogo from the Barga basic education district, expressed their commitment to applying the insights gained from the discussion. They aim to foster a more prosperous and innovative education system.
