SYNATEB Activists Equipped with Union and Political Awareness

Seguenega: The municipal section of the National Union of Basic Education Workers (SYNATEB) of Seguenega held its union day on Thursday, April 30, with a view to strengthening the capacities of its activists on the notions of union and political consciousness, AIB observed. According to Burkina Information Agency, the SYNATEB communal section of Seguenega mobilized its activists and supporters at the Gambo B public primary school to equip them with the trilogy of professional conscience, trade union conscience, and political conscience. This initiative was part of a genuine effort to properly equip its activists and supporters with certain fundamental human values. The event, themed "Professional awareness, trade union awareness and political awareness", featured communicators Harouna Komi, Deputy Secretary General, and Madi Nacanabo from the office of the provincial section of SYNATEB of Yatenga. At the start of their communication, they praised the resilience and high level of awareness of the activists f rom the CEB of Seguenega 1 and 2, who gathered for the occasion. Throughout the day, the two presenters analyzed the topic to better inform their members and provided definitions for their colleagues on the three concepts of professional, union, and political conscience. The discussions highlighted that cultivating these three awarenesses requires sacrifice, dedication, discipline, conviction, and a strong union culture. The union day concluded with board games and a tea-debate, further strengthening the cohesion between activists and supporters.
