Bogandé: Sylvain Thiombiano was officially installed as the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education in Gnagna by Mendien known as Moussa Soma, the Secretary General of the province. This installation took place in Bogandé.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mendien known as Moussa Soma commended the outgoing director, Salam Ouédraogo, for his contributions and wished him a fulfilling retirement. He also highlighted the expectations for the incoming director, urging Sylvain Thiombiano to build upon his predecessor’s accomplishments. In his address, Thiombiano expressed his appreciation for the confidence shown in him by the educational authorities and committed to addressing the challenges faced by the educational sector in Gnagna.
Thiombiano emphasized the necessity of finding effective solutions to enhance the educational system’s performance in the Eastern region. Sountéma Nadinga, representing the staff, praised the outgoing director Ouédraogo for his exemplary service a
nd assured Thiombiano of the staff’s ongoing support and commitment to advancing educational policies in the province.
Albert Dakissaga, the provincial director of Sports and Leisure, extended gratitude to Ouédraogo for his significant contributions and welcomed Thiombiano, wishing him success in his new role. Ouédraogo, in his farewell, thanked his colleagues and the administrative authorities for their support, advising Thiombiano to promptly address the educational challenges.
As a gesture of appreciation, several organizations presented gifts to Ouédraogo, including a humorous offering from the WhatsApp group “Ensemble Gnagna Prospère,” which included rice, rock salt, a rooster, and a transportation allowance.
