Sydney: Two men have been hospitalized with critical injuries following a shooting in a public place in western Sydney. Police in Australia’s state of New South Wales (NSW) reported that emergency services were called to a shooting incident on a street in Parramatta, approximately 20 kilometers west of central Sydney, around 5:10 p.m. local time on Sunday.
According to Namibia Press Agency, police stated that officers arrived at the scene and found two men with multiple gunshot wounds in a car. Two other men in the vehicle were unharmed. The injured men received immediate treatment from ambulance paramedics before being transported to the hospital, where they remain in critical condition.
Local authorities have established a crime scene to carry out further investigations into the shooting.
