Rehoboth: The Electoral Commission of Namibia announced the final results of the 2025 Regional Council Election for the Rehoboth Urban East Constituency in the Hardap Region, revealing a decisive win for the Swapo Party.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Edward Alfred Wambo of the Swapo Party emerged victorious with 2,039 votes, leading the race in the constituency. The Landless People's Movement (LPM) candidate, Bartholomeus Antonius Pieters, secured the second position with 1,881 votes.
Trailing behind were Deovanni Sylvester Van Zyl from the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) with 350 votes, Richard David Van Rooi from the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) with 297 votes, and independent candidate Erenshel Nagson Salago Gariseb with 186 votes. The United People's Movement (UPM) candidate, Samuel Elson Benyamin, received 134 votes.
The total number of votes counted in the constituency was 4,887, marking the completion of the electoral process in this region.
