Oshakati: The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) released the final results of the 2025 Regional Council elections for the Ondangwa Urban, Uuvudhiya, and Ongwediva Constituencies in the Oshana region. The results highlight a strong performance by the Swapo Party across all three constituencies.
According to Namibia Press Agency, in the Ondangwa Urban constituency, Leonard Negonga of the Swapo Party emerged victorious with a total of 3,911 votes. He was followed by Ericky Angula of the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) who garnered 1,519 votes. Angelina Immanuel from Affirmative Repositioning (AR) received 922 votes, while Haufiku Fillipus of the Body of Christ Party (BCP) secured 137 votes.
In the Uuvudhiya constituency, the Swapo Party's candidate, Timoteus Shivute, won with 1,569 votes. His closest competitor, Olavinus Nambambi from IPC, received 74 votes.
In the Ongwediva constituency, Johannes Ngololo of the Swapo Party led the polls with 7,343 votes. He was followed by Lisias Paulus from IPC who obtained 1,109 votes. Tiberius Andreas of the BCP received 135 votes, while Hileni Johannes from the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) garnered 128 votes.
