Kalkrand: The Electoral Commission of Namibia has announced the final results of the 2025 Local Authority Election for the Kalkrand Local Authority in the Hardap Region. Swapo Party emerged as the dominant force, securing the majority of votes.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Swapo Party garnered 399 votes, significantly ahead of the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC), which received 171 votes. In total, 570 votes were cast in the election to fill five council seats.

Based on the proportional representation formula, Swapo Party has been awarded four of the five available council seats, while IPC secured the remaining one seat. This outcome reaffirms Swapo's strong presence in the region.
