LÜDERITZ: Swapo Party officials have reaffirmed their stance on being the sole political entity with the requisite experience and capacity to govern Namibia effectively, emphasizing their commitment to ongoing national development and youth empowerment. According to Namibia News Agency, Salomon April, a member of Swapo's central committee, articulated these views at a rally held on Saturday. April underscored Swapo's historical role in bringing about significant change in the country, while acknowledging that there remains more to accomplish. He urged citizens to maintain faith in Swapo, citing visible developments in places like Lderitz as evidence of the party's progress. April emphasized that development is a gradual process, and he encouraged voters to support Swapo to continue this trajectory. Addressing the youth, April, who also serves as the governor of the Hardap Region, encouraged them to seize opportunities in emerging industries such as green hydrogen, advising them to avoid distractions like al cohol that hinder personal progress. He stressed the importance of youth involvement in shaping the future and highlighted Swapo's commitment to empowering young leaders. Tuuliki Abraham, another Swapo central committee member, echoed April's sentiments, asserting that Swapo remains the only party capable of steering Namibia towards inclusive prosperity. Abraham highlighted the party's social contract with voters, which includes accountability and a serious commitment to national leadership and progress. She urged the electorate to trust Swapo's continued efforts in fostering development for all Namibians.
