Gauteng – A 27-year-old suspect is scheduled to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ court tomorrow on charges of impersonating a medical doctor.
According to South Africa Police Service, the individual was arrested on Sunday, 29 October 2023.
The suspect was initially spotted at the hospital on Friday, 27 October 2023, reportedly making videos. Hospital staff were informed to be vigilant for his presence. On Sunday, the security guards at the hospital identified and apprehended the individual, who was then handed over to the Brixton police.
Furthermore, another case involving the suspect has been opened at Tembisa. In this separate incident, it is alleged that the suspect used the credentials of a practicing doctor to deceive other staff at a hospital in Tembisa.
