Hound©: Students made aware of the importance of cultural heritage in promoting social cohesion and peace in Hound© during an educational conference organized by the special municipal delegation of Hound© in collaboration with the provincial directorate in charge of Humanitarian Action and Culture of Tuy.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference, held on Monday, May 12, 2025, aimed to enlighten students at the provincial high school of Tuy about the significance of cultural heritage in fostering social cohesion and peace. This activity was a precursor to the upcoming Customs and Traditions Day, slated for May 15.
The event at the provincial high school featured Jean Marc Dah, an agent from the provincial directorate in charge of Humanitarian Action of Tuy, and Isma«l Bationo, the provincial director in charge of Culture of Tuy. The speakers emphasized the importance of actions promoting social cohesion and peace, highlighting values like joking relationships, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, hospitality, respect for elders, solidarity, and integrity.
The speakers urged young people, considered the nation's spearhead, to embrace these values to become good citizens, contributing to a peaceful and cohesive Burkinabe nation. The students engaged actively with the topics through questions and shared their personal experiences.
This conference is part of a series planned for May 12 and 13, 2025, across several secondary schools in Hound©. The OKDB (Ouagadougou-Koudougou-D©dougou-Bobo-Dioulasso) project of Tuy provided financial support for these initiatives.
