Houet: The Bama town hall reception hall was packed on the evening of Thursday, April 9, 2026, for a conference organized by the special envoy to the Presidency of Faso for the Guiriko region, Omar Traor, for the benefit of students from public and private secondary schools in the municipality. From the outset of the meeting, the canton chief of Bama, Oumar Sanou, welcomed the participants, before the head of the secondary education district No. 1 of Bobo-Dioulasso, Karim Coulibaly, encouraged the students to take advantage of this forum for exchange.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Bama, Flix Bay, expressed his satisfaction with the choice of his commune to host this meeting, before declaring the conference open. In his presentation, the special envoy enthralled the students by discussing the foundations, objectives, and prospects of the Popular Progressive Revolution (PPR). He also emphasized the role of each stakeholder, particularly the youth, in consolidating this new political dynamic and defending the nation.
Following the presentation, the students asked several relevant questions. These included questions about the difference between Captain Thomas Sankara's Democratic and Popular Revolution and Captain Ibrahim Traor's Progressive Popular Revolution, the high cost of local products, the reasons for the development seen during the revolutionary period, and the major challenges of the RPP. In clear, direct, and instructive language, Oumar Traor commended the quality of the concerns raised before providing detailed answers. He concluded by encouraging the students to become more involved, to promote entrepreneurship, and to actively participate in the defense of the nation.
