Niaogho: Students amaze the audience at the closing ceremony of the CEB cultural week. The head of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Niaogho, Xavier Dabr©, presided, on Friday, at the DOLEEMA museum, over the closing of the cultural and sporting week organized under the theme: "For a complete education of students, let us commit to the practice of sporting and cultural activities".
According to Burkina Information Agency, from May 5 to 9, 2026, the commune of Niaogho lived to the rhythm of cultural and sporting activities initiated by the CEB. Students, teachers, parents, and local authorities mobilized strongly around this celebration of knowledge, culture, and living together.
Participants enjoyed traditional and modern dances, recitals, educational skits, and several artistic performances showcasing the learners' talent and creativity. Each performance was warmly applauded by the audience.
Xavier Dabr© stated that these activities contribute to strengthening social cohesion, team spirit, and educational values. "I am very satisfied with the achievements of the learners," he said.
The event concluded with the final of the football tournament between the Franco-Arab school Al-Fatiya and the Ibigo public primary school. After a match played in a spirit of fair play, Al-Fatiya emerged victorious with a score of 1-0. The winning team received 35,000 FCFA, a set of jerseys, a ball, and a trophy.
The runner-up, Ibigo, received 27,500 FCFA, a set of jerseys, and a ball. The best participants in disciplines such as jumping, speed, drawing, Quran reading, and artistic performances were also rewarded.
The event's sponsor, Guebr©/Bambor© Mariam, head of the promotion, training, and inclusion department at DGENF, was delighted with the success of the activities and reaffirmed her willingness to support such initiatives.
