Tita: The town of Tita, situated in the commune of Pouni within Sangui© province, witnessed a significant community mobilization this Saturday in support of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and President Ibrahim Traor©’s dedication to national sovereignty.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was initiated by the citizen watch and attracted a large gathering of Tita residents and local authorities, including the President of the Special Delegation, Nadine Badiel. The citizens came together to express their strong support for the initiative.
The solidarity event successfully raised 414,650 CFA francs to aid the peace effort. Additionally, the community donated four bags of rice to the VDPs, underscoring their commitment to meeting the volunteers’ needs.
This mobilization in Tita highlights the substantial support from citizens for Burkina Faso’s sovereignty and security, reinforcing the connection between the population and those defending the nation, as stated by Pema Florent Neya, the mission officer for the Presidency of Faso for the Centre-West region. Josu© Daila, the president of the organizing committee, expressed deep gratitude to all patriots involved in the effort.
The event also featured Pouni masks, adding an element of entertainment to the occasion.
