Strong Candidate Turnout for 2026 CEP and BEPC Exams in Koulp©logo

Koulp©logo: School exams for the 2026 session have started under good auspices in the province of Koulp©logo, where candidates for the Primary School Certificate (CEP) and the Junior High School Certificate (BEPC) responded massively to the call, with attendance rates exceeding 95%.

According to Burkina Information Agency, at the CEP level and for the entrance exam to sixth grade, the province registered 2,006 candidates, including 903 girls and 1,103 boys. Statistics from the first day showed 1,924 candidates were present compared to 82 absent, representing an overall attendance rate of 95.91%.

Girls performed particularly well, with an attendance rate of 97.79%, compared to 94.38% for boys. The General Education CEP (CEP-EG) saw 1,823 candidates present out of 1,892 registered, representing an attendance rate of 96.35%. The Technical Education CEP (CEP-ET) option achieved a perfect record with 19 candidates present out of 19 registered, while the CEP alone recorded 82 present out of 95 registered, representing an attendance rate of 86.32%.

Regarding the BEPC (Brevet dtudes du Premier Cycle), the province had 1,002 registered candidates, including 566 girls and 436 boys. A total of 972 candidates actually took part in the exams, with 30 absent, representing an attendance rate of approximately 97%.

The breakdown by examination board shows that Cinkans© 1 recorded 234 present out of 237 registered candidates, with only three absentees. The Cinkans© 2 board had 230 present out of 237 registered candidates, with seven absentees. At Ouargaye 1, 270 candidates sat for the exam out of 280 registered, while the Sangha 1 board recorded 238 present out of 248 registered candidates. With its 280 registered candidates, the Ouargaye 1 board remains the largest in the province.

These statistics reflect the strong mobilization of candidates, parents, teachers, and administrative and educational authorities to ensure the smooth running of school exams in Koulp©logo. They also demonstrate the efforts made by all stakeholders in the education system to guarantee the success of the 2026 session.
