Strengthening Civic-Mindedness and Community Dialogue for Lasting Peace

Ouagadougou: The Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Administration and Mobility, ‚¬Å¡¬°mile Zerbo, chaired a public conference on Tuesday, May 27, at the central town hall of Ouagadougou. This event marked the culmination of the third edition of the Regional Week of Living Together (SRVC) in the Central region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the theme for this edition was "Civicism and community dialogue: foundations of sustainable social cohesion in the Central region." Organized by the Central governorate, the event was officially launched on May 20 in Koubri, in the commune of Komsilga. In his opening speech, Minister Zerbo urged participants to enhance civic-mindedness and community dialogue, emphasizing unity in diversity as a means to overcome challenges.

The conference saw the participation of key figures, including the Minister of Humanitarian Action, P©lagie Kabr©, and the event's patron, El Hadj Hamado Ou©draogo, President of the Burkinabe Regional Employers' Council. Governor Abdoulaye Bassinga highlighted the SRVC's objective to promote population integration and peace efforts.

El Hadj Hamado Ou©draogo stressed the importance of nurturing values like mutual respect, listening, and dialogue to bridge social divides. The Burkinabe Regional Employers' Council demonstrated their commitment to social cohesion and national solidarity by presenting a check for 10,000,000 FCFA to the Patriotic Support Fund.

Throughout the conference, attendees engaged in presentations on key themes, road safety, and presidential initiatives. Additionally, cultural activities and sanitation actions were organized to promote peace and unity among the population.

In his closing remarks, Minister Zerbo encouraged citizens to actively contribute to making the Central region a model for social cohesion and sustainable development. The third edition of the SRVC serves as a vital platform to foster unity, community values, and a peaceful future for the Central region and Burkina Faso.
