Luanda: The challenges and strategies for promoting Angola’s image and strengthening investment attraction at the national and international levels are among the main topics covered in the book entitled “Marketing, Communication and Economic Diplomacy,” launched this Thursday in Luanda. The manual, authored by journalist Leopaldo Baio and diplomat Lenisha Baio, a couple who consider marketing and communication as essential tools for attracting external opportunities, has 167 pages and 13 chapters, published by “Ninho das guias” publishing house.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the book addresses issues related to economic diplomacy and communication, and contributes to a more positive view of Angola’s image. The authors added that the work offers a scientific approach to the powerful role of marketing as an effective instrument to support and promote economic diplomacy, especially through enhancing the country’s image and disseminating information. It also aims to build international credibility and obtain validation to improve the business environment and attract foreign investment.
The manual presents topics that result in debates for the student community. It is the result of in-depth research on the importance of strategic communication in diplomatic actions and in strengthening Angola’s image as a safe and attractive destination for foreign investment.
Leopoldo Martinho Baio, a native of Benguela, is a communications specialist and university professor, serving as a press attach©. He holds a master’s degree in Strategic Marketing Management from the European University of the Atlantic, a degree in Communication Sciences from the Independent University of Angola, and a postgraduate degree in Media Management and Leadership from the Catholic University of Portugal. His wife, Lenisha Fragoso Baio, is a native of Luanda and a diplomat. She holds a PhD in International Relations from Atlantic International University in the USA, a master’s degree in Computer Science, specializing in Network Connections and Internet Systems, from the International University of Tourism and Business Management Excellence. She also holds a degree in Human Resources Management and Information and Computer Systems Management from Rusangu University, Zambia.
The book launch ceremony took place at the Journalists’ Training Center (Cefojor) and brought together academics, diplomats, media professionals, students, and members of civil society.
