Steady Progress at Okatana Constituency Voting

Windhoek: The voting process is progressing well in the Oshana region, with presiding officers in the Okatana Constituency describing it as smooth, with no challenges experienced so far.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the presiding officer at the Uukwangula Community Hall, Evelina Uugwanga, stated that the voting process is going well, with an encouraging turnout, and that they are still waiting for more voters to show up as the day progresses. Uugwanga mentioned that voting started at 07h00 and that they have not experienced any challenges since the process began. She urged registered voters to come and cast their votes, noting that the voting station will remain open until 21h00.

Presiding officer at Amutanga Combined School, Rauna Elago, reported that they did not encounter any setbacks and recorded over 250 votes cast. Elago expressed appreciation for the elder community members who came early in the morning to queue up and cast their votes, and encouraged others to participate.

At Ekamba Junior Primary School polling station, presiding officer Julia Eliseu highlighted the punctuality of the Ekamba residents. Eliseu reported that around 165 voters had cast their votes and urged those who have not yet voted to do so. Eliseu emphasized that the polling station had not experienced any challenges and encouraged more community members to participate.
