Τhe Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Member States has appointed Ambassador (ad hon.) Dimitrios Rallis to the position of the Deputy Secretary General of BSEC, by a decision adopted at its 44th Meeting.
It is noted that the re-appointment of a Greek candidate to a senior position in the Permanent International Secretariat of this Organization, as a result of months of effort, underscores the special interest our country attaches to BSEC, as well as the overall recognition Greece enjoys within the Organization.
t is reminded that the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) was initiated in 1992 as an informal intergovernmental cooperation and was transformed into an International economic Organization on May 1st, 1999.
The BSEC Organization is composed of 13 Member States in the wider Black Sea region (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, the Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine).
